Free Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credit Workshop

When: May 5, 2012 from 10:00am to 1:00pm

Attention owners of historic properties! The Loudoun County Heritage Commission and Historic District Review Committee are sponsoring a Joint Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credit Workshop on Saturday, May 5th in Waterford. Local preservation specialists and staff from the Virginia Department of Historic Resources (VDHR) will be providing valuable information on the Virginia and Federal historic rehabilitation tax credit programs. Learn why historic preservation makes economic sense for Loudoun County. If you are thinking about repairing or rehabilitating your historic residence or business, come to the workshop and find out if you may be eligible for tax credits and how it can put money back in your pocket!

The workshop will be hosted by the Waterford Foundation, Inc. at the Waterford Old School’s New Auditorium. The Waterford Foundation utilized tax credits to rehabilitate the Old School after a devastating fire in 2007. Construction on the new auditorium addition was just completed this spring. The workshop will include a tour of this exceptional tax credit project.
