Enhance your winter holiday with a visit to the historic John Marshall House. Join us for our 45-minute “Christmas in Early America” guided tour from November 25th to December 23rd and see the Chief Justice’s 1790 home bedecked in period garnish and ornament. Learn about holiday customs of the period and what Christmas meant to not only John Marshall, his family, and guests, but also how holidays impacted the lives of enslaved people in Early America, as well. Themed youth scavenger hunts and coloring sheets will be available to take on tour, and special holiday gifts can be found in the Museum Shop. Standard admission applies. Purchase your tickets online or at the door.

The John Marshall House is open Wednesday-Friday, 11am-2pm; Saturday 10am-5pm; and Sunday 12pm-5pm.

The John Marshall House will be closed for the winter from 12/24/22 – 03/01/23. Please contact us for group tours.
