History Homeschool Days

Take your homeschool group on the road this summer with Preservation Virginia’s 100 miles of history! Visit all 5 of our historic sites on given weekdays for a discounted admission of $5/person ages 6 and up. Join us for a guided tour, chances to ask lots of questions about Virginia history, complete tour scavenger hunts or activity sheets, and explore our beautiful properties. See below for the full list of summer dates:

Monday, June 13 – Bacon’s Castle (11am, 1pm, 3pm)
Monday, June 27 – Smith’s Fort
Wednesday, June 29 – John Marshall House (11am-2pm)
Friday, July 8 – Cape Henry Lighthouse (lighthouse climbers MUST be 42″ tall)
Friday, July 15 – Patrick Henry’s Scotchtown
Monday, July 18 – Bacon’s Castle (11am, 1pm, 3pm)
Wednesday, July 27 – John Marshall House (11am-2pm)
Monday, August 1 – Smith’s Fort
Friday, August 12 – Cape Henry Lighthouse (lighthouse climbers MUST be 42″ tall)
Friday, August 19 — Patrick Henry’s Scotchtown

Preservation Virginia historic sites are open for History Homeschool Days with discounted admission on the above days from 10am-4pm (with exceptions notated on the above schedule).  Reservations are appreciated:
