In recognition of Polly Marshall’s 257th birthday, join the John Marshall House and Shockoe Hill Cemetery for a joint tour. First, visit the 1790 John Marshall House to learn more about Polly’s life within the landscape of Colonial and Early America, illustrated by priceless historical objects and documents in our collection. Following, travel to the nearby Shockoe Hill Cemetery to view Polly’s grave and hear of other contemporary residents buried there whose stories, collectively, reveal a narrative about Polly’s Richmond.
“Polly’s Richmond” guided tours will be offered at 10am and 1pm. Tickets are $15/person. We recommend purchasing your tickets in advance online, but you may also give us a call at (804) 648-7998. Walk-ins will be accommodated on a first-come-first-serve basis.
