This workshop will focus on the history, purpose and the benefits of listing a property to a national or state historic register; as well as the differences between state and national registers, equity and inclusion in register listings, and myths surrounding state and national registers. Speakers include Dr. Elizabeth Moore, State Archaeologist, Virginia Department of Historic Resources; Jody Lahendro, Historic Architect, UVA, and Historic Preservation State Review Board. The workshop will be moderated by Genevieve P. Keller, Architectural Historian and Preservation Planner and Chair, Preservation Virginia Board of Trustees.
This event will be held online via Zoom. Cost is $25 for the general public, $10 for Preservation Virginia members.
