Join John Marshall House educators on February 26th for a special guided adaptation of our popular virtual tour, “To Be Purchased & Possessed: Slavery in the John Marshall House.”
Learn of the lives and labors of the 8-16 people the Chief Justice enslaved on his Richmond property until 1835 in the spaces in which those like Henry, Robin, and Agnes were forced to work.
While you’re here, we invite you to participate in our new self-guided Work Yard Tour, as well.
The John Marshall House is opening on February 26th only to offer the “To Be Purchased & Possessed” focus tour at 11am and 2pm.
Spaces are limited, so advanced tickets are recommended. Tickets are $15: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/purchased-possessed-slavery-in-the-john-marshall-house-guided-tour-tickets-222006636827
