In the spirit of the intimate salon gatherings of the Enlightenment, guests will have the opportunity to discuss and engage in conversation with Sumpter Priddy, renowned decorative arts scholar, on the finer points of Richmond classical furnishings, their unique style and design.
Light refreshments will be provided. Beer and wine will be available for purchase.

Classical Richmond Furniture Exhibit Open March 1 – April 28
Working with private collector, Michael Phillips, the John Marshall House is hosting a special exhibit, “Classical Richmond Furniture: American History & Craftsmanship in Virginia’s Capital,” March 1 – April 28. The exhibit features several pieces of Richmond-made classical furniture from the private collections of Phillips and others. The John Marshall House is open Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
