Kick off your Fourth of July weekend by joining the John Marshall House in this family-friendly event on July 1 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Families will receive a special tour of the 1790 house exploring a young John Marshall’s role in the American Revolution and relationships with other founding fathers, the patriots’ calls for independence, and how John Marshall contributed to planning the new nation. Following, families are invited to participate in our American Revolution Soldier Program which is a hands-on presentation about the experiences of the common soldier. Kids crafts and light refreshments will also be provided. This event is most fun for children 8+ but all are welcome!
General Admission is charged for the Spirit of ’76 Family Day and is purchasable upon arrival to the John Marshall House. Spaces are limited, so we recommend RSVPing at 804-648-7998 or johnmarshallhouse@preservationvirginia.org. Contact us with any questions!
