Richmond’s historic John Marshall House–the 1790 home of the 4th Supreme Court Chief Justice–existed as an urban site of forced labor for over 65 enslaved men, women, and children between 1790 and 1835. Join our Museum Educators in this virtual program that explores the lives and labors of those the Chief Justice enslaved at 9th and E. Marshall Street in downtown Richmond, including Henry, Robin, Israel, Celia, Hannah, and many others. Please register in advance.
