Hire Our Restoration Team
For those in Virginia in need of a specialized historic contractor we offer our trained in-house restoration team and apprentice program.
Preservation Virginia’s restoration craftspeople have over 45 years of collective preservation trades experience and a tradition of working on some of the most historically important buildings across the state. They are trained in traditional wood joinery and timber frame repair in addition to mastering traditional masonry skills, roofing and plastering. Repairs and replacements are completed using materials, tools and technologies similar to those employed in the original construction of historic buildings, though always date-stamped to distinguish authenticity.
We also have an apprenticeship program to help facilitate the training of the next generation of preservation craftspeople.
Fee-for-service projects completed by Preservation Virginia include Lych Gate in Windsor Farms (Richmond), The Hollow (Markham), Monumental Church (Richmond) and St. John’s Church (Richmond), where Patrick Henry gave his famous “Liberty or Death” speech.
Please note, due to several large incoming projects we will not be accepting new jobs until late 2024.
