Built between 1788 and 1790, this Richmond landmark was home John Marshall, third Chief Justice of the United States, his wife Mary Willis Marshall (Polly), their six children and the enslaved men and women who took care of the house and family. Illustrated with more than fifty color photographs, this new guidebook by APVA Curator of Collections, Catherine Dean, details the history of the house and its inhabitants and provides a room-by-room tour of the home of "The Great Chief Justice."
