Urban Slavery Walking Tour

April 26 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Join the John Marshall House for the first Urban Slavery Walking tour of the season. Visit six locations downtown that define, illustrate, and place urban slavery in Richmond’s Early Republic history.

The Urban Slavery Walking Tour runs up to 90 minutes, starting and ending at the John Marshall House (818 E. Marshall Street, Richmond, VA). There may be opportunities to sit at each location, but be prepared to be on your feet for the duration. We recommend guests bring good walking shoes, bottled water, and sun protection if needed. Unless too inclement, this tour is rain or shine, so be prepared for the weather. There will be access to bathrooms at the beginning or end of the tour, but not during.

General Admission $20; $15 for Preservation Virginia Members; free for children 6 and under. Advanced tour registration required.
