Who we are
We are Preservation Virginia, a registered nonprofit organization in Richmond, Virginia.
What this policy covers
This policy applies to information collected on preservationvirginia.org and through our forms, donations, memberships, and event pages. It also covers services we use to run the Site, like analytics, fonts, video embeds, and payment processing.
Information we collect
- Information you give us: When you contact us, request information, sign up for our newsletter, make a donation, become a member, or inquire about historic sites, you may provide your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and any message you choose to send.
- Payment information: When you donate, purchase a membership, or buy tickets on our Site, payments are processed by third-party providers such as Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number or CVV. Payment details are handled by the provider under their own policies.
- Automatic data: Like most websites, we and our vendors may collect technical information such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and time spent on pages. We use cookies and similar technologies to help the Site function and to understand how it is used.

- FareHarbor (planned): If enabled in the future for tickets, donations, or memberships, FareHarbor will process the information you enter on their forms or widgets under their own policies. We will update this policy if we add FareHarbor.
Email communications
If you sign up for our newsletter, we will send you updates about our work, events, and ways to get involved. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails or by contacting us.
