Field Trips and Education Resources at the John Marshall House

School Programs

The John Marshall House is happy to host your student group or youth organization for a guided or virtual field trip in the 2021-22 school year. Compatible with Virginia SOL’s and Common Core standards, we offer four unique K-12 field trip tours and also an array of interactive and sensory educational programs. Download our School Programs Guide to learn more about our field trip options and reservation policies. To inquire, please contact Education Manager Meika Downey at mdowney@preservationvirginia.org. Scout Programs

The Great Chief Justice’s 1790 home is a great place for your Scout to learn about democracy and earn their Civics and/or Citizenship merit badge through an interactive and sensory experience. Please view our Merit Badge Scout Program outline and contact us if your troop is interested in scheduling a badge program.

Educational Resources

The John Marshall House also offers a selection of educational resources free of charge to implement in your classroom. Our educational resources take shape as primary source analysis activities, study tools, and recorded video content. Below, please find our current offerings. Not seeing what you need?
